day trip to leura | blue mountains, nsw

My absolute favourite place in the whole wide world is Leura. I love the cooler weather, the mountain air, the older buildings, the atmosphere, the gorgeous boutiques, the endless choice of warm and welcoming cafes serving good coffee and the soup of the day. Every so often I just drive up there and take a few hours to walk around and refresh my spirit. On my most recent trip, with Autumn in the air and my littlest love at my side we strolled the streets and captured it for you so we could share this important piece of us with all of you. It is my dream to one day own a little studio here so that all my amazing couples can experience this great love of mine every time they come to visit and have their own spirits refreshed in the process. I’ve heard that dreams can come true so i’ll keep on dreaming this dream for as long as it takes.

chris + mana | chinese tea ceremony

My awesome brother in law and his sweet girlfriend were married in a simple ceremony on Valentine’s Day. The following weekend we got together for a relaxed, family chinese tea ceremony and I couldn’t help but sneak them off for a few portraits as well. It was so amazing to be shooting something that was so meaningful for my own family and as I do when I’m shooting just for me I shot solely using medium format film. What you see below were all shot on the Contax 645 with a mix of Fuji 400H and Kodak Portra 800.

featured | polka dot weddings

Very excited to see Olivera & Michael’s sweet vintage wedding over on Polka Dot Weddings. I’ll be sharing this full wedding here on my own blog next week and I can’t wait! Oli has been sharing her experiences of wedding planning and wedded bliss as a writer over on Polka Dot Bride for almost a year. You can check out their beloved engagement session, relive their wedding or turn green with envy viewing their gorgeous Fiji honeymoon. I’m so blessed to know them.
