It’s busy wedding season at the moment, with weddings pretty much every weekend, but beloved is really the absolute essence of what I do and everything I love about photography. My goal from very early on has always been to create images that are not ‘of’ a hug or a kiss, but of how that moment felt for the two people in front of my camera. You know that feeling when you hug someone, you open your eyes and all you see is them, just a few inches from your face, feel the warmth of them, your hair in your face – that is what I want to capture for my couples. Beloved sessions are those in which there is really time to explore and find that beautiful honesty and passion in each couple and I just relish each opportunity I have to create those kinds of images and what makes beloved photography so unique.

Courtney and Brian took me to the gorgeous Avoca Beach for their beloved session. A place they have shared beautiful moments of peace, where the world just stopped and allowed them to just love and appreciate each other in the midst of busy schedules and the demands of the ‘real’ world. When they told me this is why they had chosen this place I knew it was my goal to create images for them that made them feel that way every time they looked at them. I’m so incredibly moved by the images we created together that day. I hope you feel it too.
